A 16-year-old boy sustained injuries after he was allegedly attacked by a fellow teenager during a quarrel at Puliyangudi in Tenkasi district. Five boys aged around 16 to 17 years, who were known to be friends had reportedly developed the habit of consuming cannabis. A dispute broke out among them, while they were under the influence of ganja. In a fit of rage, one boy attacked another 16 year old with a sickle, causing injuries. He was immediately taken to Tenkasi government hospital. Following a complaint, the Puliyangudi police registered a case and detained three boys. They were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and subsequently sent to an observation home. Police are involved in tracing another boy involved in the incident.
