Maharashtra has attracted a record foreign direct investment (FDI) of ₹ 1,64,875 crore in the financial year 2024-25, which is 40 percent of the country’s total investment (₹4,21,929 crore) this year, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday.   

Sharing the information on his X handle, he said, “I am very happy to say that the figures for the last quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (January to March 2025) have also been announced, and now Maharashtra has attracted foreign investment worth Rs 1,64,875 crore in this entire year. Which is 40 percent of the total investment in the country this year. The investment in the country this year is Rs 4,21,929 crore.”  

This year, Maharashtra has seen 32 percent rise in investment, compared to last year, he added.   

In this last quarter (January to March 2025), an investment worth ₹25,441 crore has come into Maharashtra. “This year has been a record year for Maharashtra as we have set a new record in the last 10 years. Of course we broke this record in the first nine months. I congratulate the people of Maharashtra, and I would like to assure the people that the State will continue to progress under the leadership of Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar and the cabinet.”
