The Hyderabad Traffic Police reviewed arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh festival, including the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh immersion, during a preparatory meeting on Tuesday.

Officials discussed pre-immersion and final day bandobast schemes to ensure smooth conduct of the festivities.

Traffic DCP-II S. Srinivas instructed officials to coordinate closely with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Electricity Department, and Roads and Buildings Department, as well as with Ganesh pandal organisers, to address infrastructure and safety issues.

Directions were issued to ensure proper parking arrangements for devotees, pruning of tree branches, repair of damaged roads and potholes, and installation of diversion and parking signages at key points.

Police said the measures are aimed at preventing congestion and ensuring safe and orderly movement of devotees during the festival.
