Pop singer and actor Miley Cyrus has revealed that she suffered from a ‘brutal infection’ after shooting for Something Beautiful, an accompanying film for her upcoming album, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Cyrus revealed that she caught an infection on her kneecap after “rolling around” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the song. “I filmed this video in October, and by November, at Thanksgiving, I was put in an ICU for a moment, just for a moment. But it was mostly because it was Thanksgiving. There were a lot of people in the ER, you know, people choking on turkey legs or whatever. And my leg began to disintegrate within some way around the kneecap area.”

“And then the doctor goes, ‘Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?’” The singer, embarrassed by the realisation of how she could have caught the infection, informed the doctor about her shoot.

“And to have a surgeon look at you and say, ‘Yuck.’ They open up cadavers, they see inside the guts of humans, and they’re looking at me, telling me I’m disgusting. And they do brain operations!” added the singer.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer then explained how she shot the video at the iconic location. Admitting that she spent her “pretty good budget” on her costumes, Cyrus said she couldn’t afford to rent out the place. “I’m like, ‘No, we’ll just go in the middle of the night.’ Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night? I thought it was my last day.”

Cyrys’ visual album Something Beautiful releases in theatres on June 12, after the release of her studio album of the same name on May 30.
