An Excise Inspector and her team were allegedly obstructed by a gang while conducting an enforcement raid in Ayodhya Nagar, Quthbullapur late on Saturday night. The Jeedimetla police booked a case.

According to an officer, Ch. Kotamma, Prohibition and Excise Inspector from Nampally, claimed that at around 10:35 p.m. on August 16, she along with her staff reached the locality following information about ganja and hash oil activity. “On arrival, they found a group of individuals, identified as Hemanth, Nithish, Ravi Teja, Charan and a few others. When questioned about their presence, the group is said to have obstructed the officer and her staff from performing their duties,” said the officer.

Following her complaint, a case was booked under section 132 read with section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
