Around 25 passengers were injured in a collision between a KSRTC bus and a private bus at Dr Mukku in Kadachira in Kannur, Kerala, around 6 a.m. on Tuesday

The KSRTC bus was enroute from Kannur to Koothuparamba while the private bus was reportedly heading to Tirunelli when the accident occurred. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals with the help of locals and rescue personnel. Most sustained minor injuries but a few are kept under observation.

The collision caused heavy traffic disruption on the busy stretch during morning hours.

The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
