The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert in 25 Telangana districts for Sunday (July 27, 2025).

According to IMDs latest bulletin, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad. Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, for the next 24 hours will see a generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds will continue during the day with intense spells at times at a few places towards evening or night. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 25°C and 22°C respectively,” the bulletin said.
