Y. Mahesh pursuing B.Sc. second year at Government Men’s Degree College, Cluster University, has been selected for the International Boxing competitions being held in Nepal. He will be competing in the 82 to 85 category event at the tournament.

Mr. Mahesh on Monday called on Cluster University Incharge Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. Venkata Basava Rao; who felicitated and wished him best in the competition. On the occasion, Prof. Rao told Mr. Mahesh to give his best and bring laurels to the country as well as to the State and the Cluster University.

He said that every sportsperson faces stress before participating in international events and one who overcomes it will only emerge victorious.

Cluster University Registrar Dr. Katta Venkateswarlu said that sports is being promoted in a big way and students should utilise the opportunities. Students can also get jobs under sports quota, he added.
