Hyderabad-based software engineer Vysyaraju Raviraju (26) died while his three friends survived with minor injuries after a car in which they were travelling to Maredumilli hit a tree near Tummala village under Chintoor police limits in Alluri Sitharama Raju (A.S.R.) district.

The incident occurred on Saturday morning when the group of four software engineers were on their way to spend the weekend at Maredumilli.

Chintoor Sub-Inspector Perooru Ramesh told The Hindu: “Mr. Raviraju died while undergoing medical treatment in Government Hospital at Bhadrachalam in Telangana on Saturday evening. He sat on the back seat, but suffered a head injury. The deceased is a native of Visakhapatnam city.”

“The post-mortem was completed in Bhadrachalam Government Hospital and we handed over the body to his family members on Sunday,” said Mr. Ramesh. The police registered a case and investigation is on.
