The State government has deputed 12 Municipal Commissioners (MCs) and two Regional Directors of Municipal Administration (RDMAs) for duties to be assigned to them in connection with the Prime Minister’s visit to Visakhapatnam for the International Yoga Day (IYD) event on June 21.
According to a G.O. issued by the Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD) S. Suresh Kumar on Monday, the MCs deputed for the IYD programme are H.M Dhyanachandra (Vijayawada Municipal Corporation), P. Sreenivasulu, (Guntur Municipal Corporation), T. Nagendra Kumar (Kovvur Municipality), T.V. Ranga Rao (Mandapeta Municipality), K. Ramachandra Reddy (Bhimavaram Municipality), T. Ram Kumar (Tanuku Municipality), Ch.VVS. Bapi Raju (Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation), S. Manohar (Gudivada Municipality), G. Raghunatha Reddy (Bapatla Municipality), K. Venkateswara Rao (Ongole Municipal Corporation), M. Jaswantha Rao (Narsaraopet Municipality) and S. Siva Rama Krishna (Tadipatri Municipality).
The RDMAs deputed are V. Ravindra (Visakhapatnam) and N. Narasimha Rao (Rajamahendravaram). The MCs are directed to give the responsibility of conducting the event in the respective ULBs to the next level officers and also to carry out the basic functions in the municipalities during the period.
