Five people were injured after a minivan overturned at Yercaud on Friday (June 13, 2025).

According to police, a mini truck driven by A. Rajesh (37), a resident of Periya Veeranam, was proceeding from to Salem from Yercaud. When they reached near the checkpost in the foothills, the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned. In the accident, driver Rajesh, B. Kannan (37), P. Annamalai (60), K. Chandran (54) and D. Vetrivel (43), all residents of Periya Veeranam, sustained injuries and were admitted to Salem Government Hospital.

The Yercaud police are investigating.
