Two days after Shiv Sena (UBT)‘s Nashik district’s deputy leader Sudhakar Badgujar had a meeting with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the party on Wednesday expelled him over the allegations that he has been engaging in “anti-party activities”.
During his meeting with the CM, Badgujar had expressed his displeasure with the way Shiv Sena (UBT) party has been functioning and claimed that over a dozen of party leaders and workers have been upset with the party. He also claimed that Nashik’s Shiv Sena (UBT) chief, Vilas Shinde has been unhappy with the party.
On June 2, BJP leader Girish Mahajan attended Vilas Shinde’s daughter’s wedding where Deputy CM Eknath Shinde was also invited.
Talking about his dismissal from the party, he said, “Since when expressing dissatisfaction over party functionary has become a crime? If this decision is prompted by my meeting with the CM, then I would say this is a wrong and one-sided decision without allowing me to share my concerns. Of course, I had met the CM, and it was only to take the demands of the employees of the Nashik Municipal Corporation to him. What is wrong with that? I was only representing the employees.”
Mr. Badgujar said that if the head of the party has made a decision to remove him from the party, he will have to accept it. “If the party chief is determined to remove me from the party, then there is nothing more to say but to accept the decision. In the coming days I will present my stand and future strategy,” he said.
At a press conference, former party district chief, Datta Gaikwad said, “We have received a call from party chief Uddhav ji and Sanjay Raut saheb who confirmed that Sudhakar Badgujar is expelled from the party today for engaging in anti-party activities by talking against the party functionary.”
