Senior IAS officer Anjum Parwez of the 1994 batch has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Mr. Parwez was appointed to the post after L.K. Atheeq retired from service a few months ago.

Mr. Parwez is also placed in the concurrent charge of the post of Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, and Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Department, an order said.
