Hours after Karnataka Home Minister announced that the victory parade of the IPL 2025 winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru had been cancelled, crushing the hopes of legions of eager fans, the much-loved team took to social media platform X to inform that the celebration was back on.
The team said that the victory parade would be held at 5 p.m. on June 4, 2025, and will be followed by celebrations at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Requesting fans to follow guidelines set by police and other authorities, the team also put out a link for fans to buy free passes to witness the celebrations inside the Stadium. The limited entry passes can be bought here.
Even as Home Minister G. Parameshwara had said that the open-bus procession from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium had been cancelled due to security concerns, the roads around the stadium began to see a traffic pile-up by around 2.30 p.m as fans began arriving in large numbers.
