The trailer for Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino has been released, offering a closer look at the interconnected love stories that make up this ensemble romantic drama. A spiritual successor to Basu’s 2007 film Life in a… Metro, the upcoming release features a large cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Set against the backdrop of modern-day Mumbai, Metro… In Dino explores four parallel narratives that span generations, including young couples facing sudden challenges, older partners rediscovering love, and middle-aged characters confronting fading connections. The film is framed as a reflection of contemporary relationships and the complexity of urban life.

The trailer introduces Aditya Roy Kapur as a commitment-averse man who finds himself drawn to Sara Ali Khan’s character, despite her being engaged to someone else. Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher play an older couple revisiting romance later in life, breaking social expectations. Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi portray a couple quietly drifting apart, trying to reignite their bond. Meanwhile, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh grapple with the consequences of an unplanned pregnancy.

Director Anurag Basu described the film as “a tale of the people and for the people”. Basu also reunites with Pritam, who works on the music for the film with vocals by Papon.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Metro… In Dino completes Basu’s trilogy of interconnected stories, following Life in a… Metro and Ludo. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on July 4.
