Sholavaram Police arrested a 32-year-old man who was absconding for nine years in a murder case and executed a non-bailable warrant (NBW) on him.

Police said one M.Muthu Prakash, 35 of Gandhi Nagar was murdered by a gang on May 5, 2013 in Sholavaram. In connection with the murder, police conducted an investigation and arrested the accused who were involved in the crime. After completing the investigation, police filed a charge sheet before Judicial Magistrate Court- II Ponneri nine years ago.

One of the accused R.Subash, 32 of Redhills failed to appear before the court for trial proceedings. He continued to be absconding for the last nine years. The court also issued NBW against him. On Thursday, police nabbed him and executed NBW.
