The Tamil Nadu government is portraying Governor R.N. Ravi as an enemy because he is a hindrance to the corruption of the DMK government, claimed BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs L. Murugan at Mettupalayam on Monday.

Talking to the media after a meeting with party functionaries, he added the actions taken by the DMK government against those expressing views against it on social media and blocking from Arasu Cable network some of the television channels that broadcast reports against it reminded the public of the restrictions on the freedom of expression during the Emergency period.

He did not want to express his views on the stampede deaths in Karur at actor-TVK founder Vijay’s rally last month as investigations were going on.
