A girl and a woman died in separate landslip incidents as heavy rains lashed Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts in coastal Karnataka on the night of May 29 and in the early hours on May 30. Some areas in Mangaluru city, like Jeppinamogaru, Rao and Rao Circle, Mission Street and Kopparahitlu, were flooded and there were reports of trees falling.
