Shivamogga-Bhadravati Urban Development Authority (SUDA) will develop 30 acres of land at Gopashetti Koppa, on the outskirts of Shivamogga, into a residential layout, said H.S. Sundaresh, chairperson of the authority, on Friday.
In a press conference in Shivamogga, Mr. Sundaresh said that the authority proposed to develop 104 acres of land under the 50:50 ratio with the landowners. So far, the owners of 30 acres had agreed to an understanding with the authority.
The authority had decided to develop 30 acres in the first phase. The proposal had been sent to the State government for approval. Similarly, the chairperson of the authority would develop 34 acres that the authority had acquired decades ago. The work would begin on the ground soon.
Besides that, the authority had proposed to construct apartment complexes at Uragadur and Sominakoppa. The flats with all facilities would be made available at affordable prices. The authority would also construct a mall at Swamy Vivekananda Extension and another mall had been proposed at J.H. Patel Extension, Mr. Sundaresh said.
SUDA commissioner Vishwanath Muddajji and others were present at the press conference.
