The Central Crime Station (CCS) of Hyderabad Police have booked 59 constable candidates who attempted to secure jobs in different wings of the Telangana Police by producing forged bonafide certificates during the 2022 recruitment process.

The complaint was lodged by a Junior Administrative Officer of the Telangana State Police headquarters, who pointed out that the candidates were provisionally selected as civil constables, armed reserve constables, TSSP constables, firemen and warders.

As per the FIR of the case, during the selection process, the Recruitment Board obtained documents from the selected candidates for verification. The candidates were provisionally selected for various posts and submitted their certificates and documents for verification. Upon verification, it was found that the bonafide certificates submitted by these candidates were not genuine, and it was reported that the documents produced by the candidates were fake. Subsequently, the department issued show-cause notices to these candidates seeking an explanation. Their explanations were examined along with the relevant records and were found to be unsatisfactory and without merit.

“The constables are not in the service. They were caught before the 2022 batch joined and a thorough verification was done before a case was booked,” said an officer from the CCS.

Acting on the recommendation of the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board, the CCS police registered cases on the charges of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.
