
Telangana to get a break from interspersed rain recorded over several days

Telangana might get a break from rain as India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast only gusty winds (30-40 kmph) to sweep all districts for three days from Saturday (August 23, 2025). And no rain alert was issued for the two days thereafter.
On Friday, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are very likely in Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanumakonda districts, according to IMD’s bulletin issued on Thursday afternoon.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas are very likely to receive light rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) towards evening or night.
Highest of only 7 mm
Only a few parts of the State received rain from Thursday morning to 4 p.m. and the highest was only 7 mm in Kataram of Jayashankar Bhupalapally district.
