As many as 26 people have been selected for the Chief Minister’s Forest Medal for distinguished service this year. The award is given every year to Forest department employees engaged in the conservation of the forest who have rendered exemplary service.

J., Praveen P.U., Sabu J.B., Anandan P.V., Jijil K.; beat forest officers Sajeesh Kumar G., Abhilash P.R., Ahalya Raj, Justin John, Aju T. Dilip Kumar M., Najeev P.M., Rajeev K.R., Greeshma M., Biju P., Suresh Babu C., Pradeep Kumar N.P., Cyril Sebastian, Sini T.M., Sandeep K.O.; forest driver Jitesh P; forest watchers Shaji K.B., O.K. Rajendran and Kalidas S. are the recipients of the Forest Medal for 2025.

The Chief Minister’s Forest Medal is awarded every year in recognition of their commendable service in various fields including forest and wildlife conservation, prevention and eradication of forest encroachment, investigation of forest crimes, prevention and control of forest fires, mitigation and prevention of human-wildlife conflict, participatory forest management, and activities for the upliftment of forest-dependent Scheduled Tribes.
