Prominent playback singer Rahul Sipligunj met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the latter’s residence in Jubilee Hills on Thursday (August 14, 2025). The artist expressed gratitude for the ₹1 Crore cash award announced by the State government on July 20, coinciding with Bonalu festival. 

A household name in Hyderabad, Mr. Rahul, who hails from the Old City, gained international recognition for the Naatu Naatu song from the movie RRR. Prior to becoming a Chief Minister, Mr. Reddy — when he was the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president — announced cash reward of ₹10 lakh and assured reward of ₹1 crore if Congress comes to power.
