PMK founder S. Ramadoss on Tuesday wrote to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take ‘appropriate action against Dr. Anbumani’, calling him ‘mischievous’ for conducting meetings of executive committee and general body.

In a letter sent to the ECI, P. Swaminathan, private secretary of Dr. Ramadoss, said Dr. Anbumani does not have authorisation to remove party office-bearers, including MLAs and added that the complaints had been made to the ECI.

The letter accused Dr. Anbumani of acting according to his whims and fancies, which is ‘polluting the atmosphere’ and is an attempt to paralyse the party. “The reasons are best known to Dr. Anbumani, who has an ulterior motive to ruin the party for his personal gain and profit,” the letter said.

The letter claimed that the general body meeting, which was held and presided over by Dr. Anbumani, was not legal as it was conducted without the consent and guidance of the founder, as prescribed by the Rule 13 of the party’s bylaws.
