All government and private schools within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits will function half a day on August 13 and 14, due to forecasts of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in isolated areas by the India Meteorological Department.

An official order issued by Director of School Education E. Naveen Nicolas, on Tuesday, directed schools in the GHMC area to operate only during the morning shift on these two days.

In addition, the School Education Department has declared full holidays for all government and private schools in Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Yadadri Bhongir districts, on Wednesday and Thursday, in view of the severe weather conditions.
