With engineering works scheduled to be taken up at various bridges between Pasur and Unjalur in the Erode–Karur sector, changes will be made to train services as detailed below.

A release from the Salem Railway Division said Train No. 56809 Tiruchi Junction–Erode Junction Passenger, scheduled to leave Tiruchi Junction at 7.20 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur Junction for seven days — on August 12, 15, 18, 21, 23, 26, and 29. On these dates, the train will operate only between Tiruchi and Karur Junctions and will not run from Karur to Erode Junctions.

The release also said Train No. 16845 Erode Junction–Sengottai Express, scheduled to leave Erode Junction at 2 p.m., will instead depart from Karur Junction at 3.05 p.m. for seven days. On these dates, the train will not operate between Erode and Karur Junctions and it will commence its journey from Karur Junction and run up to Sengottai.

Likewise, Train No. 16846 Sengottai–Erode Junction Express, scheduled to leave Sengottai at 5.10 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur Junction for seven days. On these dates, the train will operate only between Sengottai and Karur Junction and will not run from Karur Junction to Erode Junction, the release added.
