KIMSHEALTH hosted a get-together of liver transplant recipients on August 8, 2025, marking a significant milestone – the successful completion of over 200 liver transplants, including both adult and pediatric cases.

The event was graced by renowned artist Lakshmi Gopalaswamy. KIMSHEALTH also announced the launch of its Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and IEM Clinic on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, M. I. Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMSHEALTH, expressed immense pride in the department’s journey and its outstanding outcomes. Dr. Sahadulla added that organ donation is a divine act, one which gives another person a second chance at life.

Shabeerali T.U, Senior Consultant, Department of Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and Liver Transplant, who also spoke, said that among the 200 transplants performed, the five-year survival rate at KIMSHEALTH stood at 96%, matching international standards.
