The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has requested the State government to give copies of the 665-page Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose Commission of Inquiry report into the alleged irregularities in the construction of Kaleshwaram project barrages, which was submitted to the government on July 31 and discussed in the Cabinet meeting held on August 4.
Senior leader of BRS and former Minister for Irrigation T. Harish Rao along with party legislators Deshapathi Srinivas, Kaleru Venkatesh Yadav, Mutha Gopal and Bandaru Laxma Reddy met Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao in the Secretariat here on Friday and submitted two request letters — one on behalf of the Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and another one for him.
The BRS leaders later stated that the Chief Secretary had told them that he would examine their request and respond. They also took acknowledgement for the request letters from the in-ward section in the Chief Secretary’s office.
