Khammam Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt on Monday inaugurated a mobile forensic van of the regional forensic science laboratory in Khammam.

Equipped with requisite tools to collect and examine fingerprints, traces of blood and other vital evidence from the scene of crime, the van will serve as a mobile lab, police said.

It will play a crucial role in collection and preliminary examination of evidence thereby aiding in detection and investigation of crimes.

Officials of the Armed Reserve Police, scientific officers of the regional forensic science laboratory and others were present.
