The Vengal police in Tiruvallur district are investigating the suspicious death of an 18-year-old youth who had gone missing a week ago. His body was found on the railway track. Relatives staged a protest alleging foul play in his death.

The victim has been identified as S. Vijaykumar of Komakkambedu within the Vengal police station limits. He went missing from home on July 25 and his parents lodged a complaint. The Government Railway Police, Tiruvallur recovered the body on July 26 and sent it to the Government Tiruvallur Hospital. The body was identified by his parents. Citing injury marks on his body, his relatives staged a protest seeking a probe into the youth’s death. The police said he could have ended his life and further investigation was on.
