Two sisters drowned in a well at Ponmanthurai Pudupatti in Dindigul district on Saturday. They were identified as S. Ochammal, 11, and her younger sister, S. Tamilselvi, 10.

According to the police, the sisters went to take bath in the well where they drowned. The bodies were retrieved by the Fire and Rescue Services Personnel and shifted to Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Police registered a case and further investigations are on.
