Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner M. Maheswar Rao ordered officials to chalk out an action plan for developing 75 junctions across the city under the Suraksha project. This will be in addition to the 75 junctions whose works have already commenced.
Mr. Rao, during the inspection of Sumanahalli junction on Friday, ordered officials to fix the issues with the footpath fencing along the junction as it was causing problems for pedestrians.
He directed the officials to design a model to turn the Sumanahalli junction more citizen-friendly after noticing vehicles being parked beneath the flyover. Further, he ordered expediting work on the animal electric crematorium near Sumanahalli and directed the immediate commencement of the animal birth control centre. Mr. Rao directed the officials to clear the silt accumulation in the Vrishabhavathi Valley near the Sumanahalli junction.
