Sewing machines were distributed to 10 women and 50 school and college students received scholarships at the third cabinet installation function held on behalf of Lions International District 3241-F in Vadapalani.

Lion M. Pravinlal was sworn in as district governor at the function. Former Judge of Madras High Court S. Tamilvanan, Dr. MGR Medical University Vice-Chancellor K. Narayanasamy, District Chairperson for the Welfare of the Differently Abled K. Gopinath, were among those present.
