The Intellectual Property Enforcement Unit of Tamil Nadu Police seized fake ‘Apple’ mobile accessories from four persons who were selling them at Ritchie Street.

According to police, R.Kumaravel, investigation officer, Griffin Intellectual Property Services Pvt Ltd, a private company that monitors and reports on the sale of fake Mobile accessories under the name of leading brands in the market, lodged a complaint with the Chennai Intellectual Property Enforcement unit Police on the sale of fake accessories under the brand name of leading company ‘Apple’. The unit conducted a raid in the Richi Street area. During the raid, it was found that Nitesh Jain, 35, Ramesh Kumar, 32, Utham Kumar, 38 and Jetharam, 26 who were buying from Mumbai and selling fake ‘Apple’ accessories. Fake accessories worth Rs 3.6 lakh were seized from them. A case was registered and further investigation is on.
