Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Limited (APTSL) Chairman Mannava Mohana Krishna announced that the government-owned company has planned to extend cybersecurity auditing services to the private sector and other States in order to shore up revenues.
Addressing the media on Thursday (July 24, 2025), Mr. Mohana Krishna said, “The APTSL will soon be organising awareness programs on cyber frauds throughout the State to help curb the menace.”
Additionally, APTSL will enhance the skills of youth in the field of cybersecurity by offering internships to those who pass the hackathons being conducted by the agency. As part of this initiative, APTSL has provided internships to 30 candidates following a hackathon in Vijayawada city.
These interns will be trained in network penetration, manual testing methods, and licensed tools like Acunetix, Burp Suite Professional and Nessus Professional for six months during which period they will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000.
Mr. Mohana Krishna highlighted that cybercriminals were cheating people and organisations by hacking their computer networks through Ransomware, and were looting public money from banks by phishing the accounts of victims. Betting apps were another threat.
The AP Cyber Security Operation Centre, which was set up in Vijayawada in 2018, achieved tremendous progress by continuously supervising the AP Government’s IT infrastructure like servers, databases, logs and applications, he added.
APTSL MD M. Surya Teja along with other officials were present.
