The Ernakulam district president of the Youth Congress has lodged a complaint with the State Police Chief against actor Vinayakan, alleging that his recent Facebook post insulted former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan and several other prominent leaders.

Incidentally, this follows Vinayakan’s participation in a condolence rally in Kochi on Wednesday, where his slogan praising Mr. Achuthanandan had gone viral. This had invited comparisons by Congress-affiliated social media handles with his allegedly derogatory remarks about the late Oommen Chandy leading to a police case.
