Around 30% of the work to construct the elevated corridor from Saidapet to Teynampet has been completed. Minister for Highways E.V. Velu, who inspected the site on Thursday, asked officials to complete the foundation works before the onset of the Northeast monsoon, said a press release. He also told them to ensure that the public is not put to any inconvenience during the construction. The 3.2-km long, four-lane wide corridor is coming up at a cost of ₹621 crore.
