A 55-year-old man ended his life by jumping into the Kagina on the outskirts of Shahabad town in Kalaburagi district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Jagadeesh Swami, a native of Shahabad town.

As per sources, the victim ended his life unable to overcome depression due to health-related issues.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel are continuing search operations for the body.
