A diagnostic angiogram performed on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday (July 24, 2025) was normal, and he is likely to resume normal work in two days, Apollo Hospitals in Chennai said. Mr. Stalin has been in the hospital for four days since his admission on July 21.

Based on the opinion of a medical experts committee led by interventional cardiologist Dr. G. Sengottuvelu, the Chief Minister “underwent a therapeutic procedure” on Thursday, a press release from Apollo Hospitals stated.

“The diagnostic angiogram done today [July 24] was normal. The Chief Minister is healthy and is expected to resume his normal routine in two days’ time,” the statement said. Following giddiness during his morning walk, Mr. Stalin was admitted to the hospital on Monday (July 21).

The Chief Minister underwent various investigations at Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road for symptoms related to giddiness. Though in the hospital, Mr. Stalin has been attending to official matters. His visits to a few districts have been rescheduled.
