Sigachi Industries, in whose Hyderabad plant at least 46 people died following a devastating fire on June 30, said on Wednesday /(July 23, 2025) that it has disbursed ₹10 lakh each to 15 families in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Labour, Telangana.

The remaining will be disbursed in a phased and structured manner, in consultation with district authorities and families. A detailed payment schedule is currently being finalised and will be shared in due course, following a thorough verification process. It said this, in a release, announcing the disbursal of interim compensation under the ex-gratia financial support package for the families of the deceased has been initiated.

In the wake of the fire, Sigachi had announced an ex gratia compensation of ₹1 crore to the families of the deceased along with full medical and rehabilitation support for the injured.

The company, on Wednesday, said it has started making payments towards financial compensation and medical assistance for those affected by the incident. This includes ₹10 lakh each to 15 families out of 46 families as death compensation and ₹15 lakh each to the families of eight persons who remain unaccounted. Injury compensation of ₹1 lakh each has been extended to 25 employees, it said.
