Work to construct an L-shaped flyover at the Madhya Kailash junction connecting Sardar Patel Road and Rajiv Gandhi Salai, is expected to be completed by October end, Minister for Highways E. V. Velu said here on Wednesday.

The Minister who inspected the work, also told officials to look at the possibility of expanding Sardar Patel Road into a six-lane facility considering the increase in traffic, said a press release here.

Of the 19 spans of the 640-metre-long flyover being constructed at a cost of ₹46 crore, seven have been completed so far. Land acquisition has been done and shifting of utilities including several transformers just finished.
