A soldier treated recently at Government Theni Medical College Hospital has made a swift recovery from a life-threatening injury. He thanked the team of doctors who performed the life-saving surgery.

The soldier R. Saravanakumar from Cumbum in Theni district was admitted to the Theni Government Medical College Hospital with multiple stab injuries. He had come to his hometown on a vacation in June. Following a dispute at a village festival, he was stabbed with knives by a group of people.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Doctors performed the surgery which lasted for about three hours. Following the life-saving surgery, the health of Saravanakumar began to improve. Later, he was discharged from the hospital after two weeks. Subsequently, Saravanakumar returned to the army camp. He thanked the team of doctors who performed the surgery.
