The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has come out strongly against the alleged wave of intimidation and harassment of government employees under the new coalition government. Speaking at the party office on Tuesday, Nalamaru Chandra Sekhar Reddy, president of the YSRCP Employees and Pensioners Wing, decried the growing atmosphere of fear and hostility targeting public servants.

He slammed Tadipatri Municipal Chairman J.C. Prabhakar Reddy, accusing him of threatening Additional Superintendent of Police Rohit Kumar Choudhary and abusing District Panchayat Officer Nagarajunaidu. “Government employees are not personal subordinates. They are serving the State, not individuals,” he stated, demanding immediate action against Mr. Prabhakar Reddy, who has also threatened to stage protests in front of the ASP’s office.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Reddy went on to cite further instances of alleged coalition excesses. In Brahmasamudram, Anantapur, he alleged that a TDP leader harassed a woman who sought school admission for her child. In Hindupur, another TDP functionary allegedly misused his power to exploit a female sanitation worker.

“Where has Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s promise to uphold the dignity of government employees gone?” Reddy asked. He urged the coalition leadership to control its cadre, ensure accountability, and take swift steps to guarantee the safety and respect of public servants across the State.
