Vadapalani police have arrested a 24-year-old history-sheeter for allegedly placing a human skull and bones at the front yard of a house to threaten the house owner. 

According to the police, Karunakaran, 51, of Somansundra Bharathi Nagar, Vadapalani, was shocked to find a skull and bones at the front yard of his house on Sunday morning. After scrutinising CCTV footage, Karunakaran came to know that one Afsar Ali, who resides in the same street had placed them for pranking after bringing them from a burial ground. Karunakaran went to the latter’s house and questioned him. In retaliation, Afsar Ali reportedly threatened Karunakaran by brandishing a knife. Following a complaint from Karunakaran, Vadapalani police arrested Afsar Ali Khan, 24 and remanded to judicial custody. He had 11 criminal cases against him, said police.
