Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Monday announced that 30 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) will be launched in Delhi by the end of the month, with an additional 75 to be started in August, which would bring the total number of AAMs to 138.

Last month, 33 such clinics, which offer free primary healthcare services, were inaugurated.

The Minister made the announcement at a meeting of the Health Department, which was also attended by officials of the Public Works Department and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

Health Department officials said they are assessing 950 sites to set up the new clinics. Mr. Singh directed the officials to identify vacant spaces in community centres, unoccupied market shops and unused residential sites to set up new AAMs.
