Releasing pictures and CCTV footage of the accused, who was involved in the sexual assault on a minor girl in Arambakkam in Tiruvallur district, the police have announced a reward of ₹5 lakh for anyone who can give solid information about his whereabouts.

On July 12, a minor girl was sexually assaulted by an unknown male at Arambakkam in Tiruvallur district, and a case was registered in this regard in Arambakkam Police Station. During the investigation, video clips indicated a youth kidnapping the girl, the identity of the suspect is still to be established, said police.

In a statement, the office of Director General of Policesaid all efforts are being taken by the police in this regard. Further, to aid investigation, a cash reward of ₹5 lakh will be granted to any individual who provides credible information leading to the identification of the suspect and his successful detection. The identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential to ensure his/her safety and privacy.
