Twenty eight probationary IPS officers, who are undergoing training in Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, visited Andhra Pradesh on Monday, as part of study and cultural tour. The young IPS officers met Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta at the police headquarters at Mangalagiri.

The DGP explained about the measures to check crime, Sakthi App, technology to nab criminals, traffic control, use of artificial intelligence (AI), cybercrime prevention, drugs and narcotics, and measures to check crime against women in the State.

Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta also asked the probationary IPS officers to gain knowledge on latest technology to prevent crimes. He asked them to learn the local language and go into the public to check crime and maintain law and order.

Earlier, the A.P. CRDA officials gave a power point presentation on the capital Amaravati to the probationary IPS officers.

Additional DGP (Law and Order) N. Madhusudhan Reddy, IGP (Operations and Technical Services) Ch. Srikanth, IGP B. Raja Kumari, EAGLE head and IGP Ake Ravi Krishna, DIG G. Satya Yesubabu and others shared their experiences and explained some case studies to the young police officers.
