Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh Narayanan’s convoy was allegedly attacked by a group of individuals in a road rage incident on Sunday night while on his way to a Bonalu celebration in Manakeshwar Nagar.

The incident took place at around 9.30 p.m., shortly after the MLA’s convoy crossed RTC Hospital and proceeded along Osmania University Road near the Sithaphalmandi stretch, said an officer from the East Zone police.

“According to the MLA, the confrontation began when his convoy honked at a crowd gathered on the road, requesting them to make way,” said the officer.

Narayanan alleged that a few men from the crowd reacted aggressively, attempted to stop his vehicle and caused a commotion. Following the altercation, he approached Osmania University police station and lodged a complaint.

The Osmania University police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter. Officials said they are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify those involved. No injuries were reported in the incident.
