The government organised an awareness programme for Members of Parliament (MPs) regarding the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project with the Hyderabad Airport Metro Rail Limited (HAML) MD N.V.S. Reddy making a detailed presentation explaining various aspects of the phase-II project and clarified doubts raised by the participants.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Deputy Speaker Ramachandra Naik. MPs from both the Congress and BJP parties participated in the meeting including Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, P. Balaram Naik, Kunduru Raghuvir, Dr. Mallu Ravi, R. Raghuram Reddy, Suresh Kumar Shetkar, M. Anil Kumar Yadav, Etela Rajender, M. Raghunandan Rao, and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy.

The ministers urged the MPs to work collectively, cutting across party lines, to ensure the Central government grants swift approvals for Phase-II of the Metro expansion, said a press release on Saturday.
