Retired lecturer Shantharam Prabhu inaugurated the 54th annual Purana Pravachana programme on Wednesday at Dharmasthala.

The programme will be held from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day till September 16.

Speaking after the inauguration at the Pravachana Mandira, Mr. Prabhu said Purana-Pravachana has been a part of Jnana Yajna and Jnana Sathra. When one listens to Purana Pravachana with devotion, every household would witness peace and contentment thereby building a healthy society.

The inauguration saw Ganapath Padyana reading Karnataka Bharatha Katha Manjari of Kumaravyasa and Ujire Ashok Bhat interpreting the same.
